WALKWAYS MASTER PLAN, ST-BRUNO

The project is located in the town of Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, on the south shore of Montreal, Quebec, south of Route 116 and west of Promenades Saint-Bruno. The objective of the project is to develop a currently unoccupied lot near the Promenades Saint-Bruno. The planned site will be a mixed sector, composed mainly of residential buildings and some commercial areas. VINCI CONSULTANTS was mandated to integrate green infrastructure for managing runoff water as part of the master plan for the Promenades sector.

Green infrastructures make it possible to retain and treat runoff water before replenishing an existing wetland. The mandate consists of carrying out the following activities:
• PCSWMM simulation of the stormwater network;
• Integration of Best Management Practices (BMPs) into the stormwater concept;
• Integration of a wetland feeding strategy;
• Technical note presenting the simulation results.
These documents and activities are carried out within the framework of the master plan, which is a premise for the request for a permit under by-law CA-2009-104 of the Longueuil agglomeration and a request for provincial authorization under the Section 32 of the Environment Quality Act (LQE).
