The Westbury project, located in Côte-des-Neiges in Montreal, is the redevelopment of a 3.4 hectare site previously occupied by the Armstrong factory. The project includes eight mixed-use buildings: residential, commercial, including a hotel, and offices, as well as the extension of the streets in the area.
VINCI CONSULTANTS is mandated to produce the water and sewer master plan for the site, as well as the execution plans and specifications for the construction of infrastructures and streets. Stormwater management is at the heart of the project, with a feasibility study for a Water Square pilot project, a development that can manage runoff from the entire site. The use of BMPs – Best Management Practices – reduces the impact of runoff water on the City of Montreal’s municipal sewer system, which experiences frequent periods of overflow.
VINCI CONSULTANTS’ expertise in the sustainable management of rainwater will lead this project towards innovation, while ensuring the protection of the public and offering an improved living environment. The adaptation of the Westbury project to ministerial requirements is done by collaborating with the municipal authorities and the promoter. VINCI CONSULTANTS takes care of the coordination with the stakeholders in order to respect the client’s budget and schedule.
